There is unrest in Abakaliki, the capital of Ebonyi State, as Peter Obi’s Labor Party supporters gathered early on Saturday to march in one million numbers.

The ‘Obidients,’ as Obi’s fans are known, were set to leave the People’s Club area for the gathering, but some thugs, who were apparently working for another party in the State, assaulted the location.

According to a source, the police may have also intervened, fired tear gas canisters, and dispersed the rally.

According to reports, the police officers stated that their behavior was required by an order from the Ebonyi State Government.

The youths could be seen running in all directions while the teargas smoke billowed in a popular video.
