Folasade Ogunsola, a professor of medical microbiology, has been appointed as the 13th vice chancellor of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), according to an official announcement made by the institution’s governing board.
The statement was made in a bulletin published by the university’s communication unit.
According to the bulletin, the appointment was announced at the conclusion of the council’s special meeting on October 7.
“The appointment of Professor Ogunsola is for five years with effect from Saturday, November 12, 2022 to Thursday, November 11, 2027.
It read, “The management, employees, and students of the institution, on behalf of Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, warmly congratulate Professor Folasade Ogunsola, FAS on her appointment and wish her a prosperous term.”
