Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, has urged Nigerians, especially his thronging fans, to cast their ballots in the upcoming election by going out and obtaining their Permanent Voters Cards.
In a special broadcast he posted on social media on Friday, the Labour Party candidate made the request.

He claimed that in order for Nigerian youth and seniors to cast their votes for their favored politicians, they must make an effort to obtain their PVCs.

He asserts that selecting the appropriate group of leaders is the first step in bringing about the changes they want to see in their country.

He asserts that selecting the appropriate group of leaders is the first step in bringing about the changes they want to see in their country.
This, he claimed, is only feasible in a democracy like ours when citizens carry out their civic responsibilities by casting ballots and making sure that their votes are counted.

According to Peter Obi, “This is a critical and existential election for Nigeria and all of us must endeavor to vote and we can only vote if we have our PVC.”

He urged Nigerians who had not yet picked up their PVCs to make every effort to do so by the end of January.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, or INEC, had announced that the collection of PVCs would begin at the ward level today, Friday, January 6, 2023, and would end on January 15, 2023. Thereafter, the collection would continue at INEC offices at local government levels until January 22, 2023.

In another development over the past week, prominent Nigerian statesmen have been endorsing the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, in an increasing number.
