Peter Obi, the candidate for the Labour Party, may win the state’s presidential election on February 25, 2023, according to Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra.

This was said by Soludo in an interview that aired on the political program Politics Today on Channels Television on Thursday, which our correspondent was watching.

I hope Peter Obi has the best of luck,” he remarked. Let him compete like everyone else. “APGA is taking part in the same race. We have our own candidate, Peter Umeadi, who happens to be from Anambra State as well and is a son of the soil. He will do his own part and garner his own support.

The governor cited a paper he wrote in November 2022 in which he predicted that Obi may win in Anambra but would lose the presidential race overall.
“In that piece, I even thought that Peter Obi may win in Anambra State,” he claimed. I did make that mention.

But Soludo questioned Obi’s chances of triumphing in the upcoming general presidential election.

APGA’s new national head, Governor Soludo, also claimed to have offered previous governor Obi, who served in office from 2006 to 2014, all the assistance a state government is capable of providing.

The governor of Anambra claimed to have treated all political parties fairly and to have allowed them to hold rallies at state facilities.
