If the Federal Government does not propose a fast solution to the country’s shortage of petrol and naira notes, the Alliance on Surviving COvid-19 and Beyond (ASCAB) has warned a national protest.

The group claimed in a statement released on Monday and signed by its acting chairman, Femi Falana, that the country’s regular citizens face an unprecedented challenge to their ability to make ends meet due to the currency and fuel crises.

These problems, in Falana’s opinion, can jeopardize the elections in 2023.

He said, “ASCAB has resolved to call on the Nigerian people to begin series of peaceful mass actions in their communities to resist the unjustifiable economic hardship which may compel immediate and comprehensive solutions to the twin crises of fuel and currency scarcity within the timeline provided by the President.
