Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, the president of Nigeria, has urged Gombe State residents to support Bola Tinubu, the party’s presidential candidate, and other APC candidates. He also advised them to disregard purported misinformation that claimed he supported a different candidate.

When the presidential campaign committee visited Gombe on Monday to solicit support before the state’s general election, Buhari addressed a sizable gathering and provided the clarification.

The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Pantami, attended the ceremony on behalf of the president, according to Simon Lalong, Director-General of the APC presidential campaign committee and Governor of Plateau State.

Buhari warned party faithful not to be deceived that he is fully supporting Tinubu’s presidency, saying that he would provide more dividends of democracy.

The President praised the governor’s development efforts, praising in particular the industrial park named after Muhammadu Buhari, stressing that it will produce the required growth.

Speaking at the same time, Nigeria’s Senate President Ahmed Lawan called the 16 years of the People’s Democratic Party “reckless, one that should not be made again.”

They refused to look at Kolmani, Boko Haram existed under their rule, and Tinubu is capable of exhibiting transformational leadership, according to Lawan.

The APC’s presidential candidate, Tinubu, asked voters to support him, stating that doing so will result in the required advancement.

He pledged to work with the incumbent governor of the state, who is running for governor, and made a plea for support for him.
