Pandemonium broke out in Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, and Rivers on Friday as a result of mounting dissatisfaction over the shortage of naira as a result of the Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) currency reform strategy.
The violence comes a day after President Muhammadu Buhari addressed the nation about the crisis sparked by the devaluation of the naira, which has paralyzed the nation’s economy.
