Eight days after the presidential election, the Independent National Electoral Commission has so far published 161,624 results from 176,846 polling places.

The percentage represents 92% of the results from all voting places.

The findings were still being electronically transmitted at the time this report was filed.

People anticipated that, as INEC Chairman Prof. Mahmood Yakubu had promised, the election results would be posted on election day.

However, INEC faced criticism for failing to post results to its viewing portal, which prompted several party agents to leave the National Collation Center on Monday.
