Some election results from the elections for the State Houses of Assembly and the governorship have been uploaded by the Independent National Election Commission.

According to sources, INEC received criticism from opposition parties and some Nigerians for delaying the upload of results on its Result Viewing platform during the presidential and National Assembly elections.

Although the Commission said that transmission of the results was hampered by technical issues, many detractors did not buy this explanation.

A few days before the March 18 elections, however, INEC announced that the technical problems had been resolved and guaranteed that the poll results would be delivered instantly.

Our correspondent checked on Saturday and discovered that 80 results had been filed in Rivers State, 80 results had been submitted in Plateau State, 12 results had been submitted in Zamfara State, and two results had been submitted in Ogun State.
