Despite the low turnout, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate for governor of Lagos State, won his polling place by a sizable majority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the ongoing governorship and State House of Assembly elections, Mr. Sanwo-Olu defeated his closest opponents, Abdulazeez Adediran and Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the Peoples Democratic Party and Labour Party, respectively, at Polling Unit 6, Eiyekole, Lagos Island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mr. Sanwo-Olu received 121 ballots, compared to Mr. Adediran’s one and Mr. Rhodes-Vivour’s two.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to sources, the LP nominee also fell short to the incumbent governor in his own voting locations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mr. Adediran, also known as Jandor, received two ballots in the polling place, while Mr. Sanwo-Olu received 29 votes, placing him 18 votes behind him.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
