{"id":766,"date":"2023-02-06T22:26:04","date_gmt":"2023-02-06T21:26:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/postnigeria.com\/?p=766"},"modified":"2023-02-06T22:26:05","modified_gmt":"2023-02-06T21:26:05","slug":"crisis-erupts-in-anambra-community-many-feared-dead","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/postnigeria.com\/2023\/02\/06\/crisis-erupts-in-anambra-community-many-feared-dead\/","title":{"rendered":"Crisis erupts in Anambra community, many feared dead"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Over five people have been feared killed on Monday in a communal crisis that erupted between the Anaku and Omor communities in the Ayamelum Local Government Area of Anambra State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The reason for the current crisis has yet to be ascertained, but there have been lingering crises between the two communities in the recent past.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A source in the community confirmed the fresh crisis to our correspondent and said some of the community leaders would speak on the development soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When contacted on the development, the state police spokesman, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, said there has been heavy deployment of a joint task force team which comprises police and military around the communities.<br>\u201cI don\u2019t have any brief on it yet, but in the early hours of Monday, 6\/2\/2023, the command received a distress call of alleged sounds of gunshots within the community of Omor and Anaku, Ayamelum LGA.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Over five people have been feared killed on Monday in a communal crisis that erupted between the Anaku and Omor communities in the Ayamelum Local Government Area of Anambra State.
